Georgina Abela is a Maltese singer and musician born in Qormi as Georgina Sammut on 23rd April 1959. She lives in Qormi and later on in Floriana.

Her involment in music went back at 1984 when she replaced the singer of the band Overdose Miriam Spiteri. She met with the composer Paul Abela the organist of the New Cuorey and after some years they married each other.

Georgina now know as Georgina Abela took part in several festivals organized on the island especially in Malta Song Contest and later on knew Eurovision Song Contest on several occasions, either as an entrant, backing vocalist or composer. By the time she become famous and even visit several countries taking part in many song festivals.
