Malta's Broadcasting Authority and the M3P Foundation signed a collaboration agreement on Thursday 25 August 2014.
After a number of discussions to determine the best way forward on the collaboration, parameters for work on drawing up a complete inventory of the audio visual collection, along with plans for physical renovation of the archives building in Hamrun, were established in 2015.
The first public announcement about the film stock in the Broadcasting Authority's collection was made in March 2016, when M3P had completed the inventory of all 16mm film stock within the Authority's holdings.[1]
