Joe Meilak is involved in the American Maltese community.
Joe was born in New York of Maltese migrant parents. He moved back to Malta together with his family at age three. Joe had his Primary and Secondary education in Malta.
Aged 17, Joe returned to New York and worked in the health insurance sector for 9 years. He then returned to Malta and obtained a Bachelor in Education degree from the University of Malta in 1995. He has been working as a teacher ever since. Joe is the Treasurer of Stars And Stripes Malta.
Joe is married and has four daughters.
