He has written a number of ballads, including ''Id-Destin Krudil'', where he was accompanied on guitars by Lippu Gauci Tal-Imqabba, and brothers Frans Camilleri Ta' Sponoż and Tony Camilleri Ta' Sponoż, originally from Żabbar.

was the son of noted folksinger Ninu Galea l-Kalora. Salvu, born in Naxxar on 4th November 1944, emigrated to Australia in the 1970s. He featured in singing sessions with Joe Vella Il-Bokser, Ġanni Zammit Is-Sigar and Loretu Vella tas-Siċċu.
