Fl-1963 inħatar Surmast Direttur tal-Soċjeta Filarmonika San Ġorġ Bormla fejn dam sal-mewt tiegħu li grat fit-2 ta' Frar 1971 fl-għomor ta' 61 sena.

Is-Surmast Worley kien magħruf għall-kompoziżżjonijiet tant melodjużi tiegħu. Fost dawn insibu: marċi brijużi, oħrajn funebri, innijiet u wkoll il-Fantasia Originale.

Huwa kellu l-liċenżja tal-mużika mill-Victoria College of Music u kellu ċ-ċertifikat ta' għalliem mill-United Stafes School of Music.
