Steve Delia know as Id-Delli, born 1 June 1981.
Inherited his love of music from his mother who is a singer. He started to learn the guitar when he was 12 years old under the direction of Maestro John Micallef. He is self-taught in other instruments.
Steve is open to a wide spectrum of music genre, but his main interests are Gypsy Jazz, Blues, Jazz, Funk and Reggae. During the years he has been a member of various bands including the Blues band Hyacinth House, the Funk band Zizza Ensemble and the band Brikkuni, being also a main contributor of the bands’ compositions and arrangements.
Among his many performances he played at the European Film Awards 2012 with Brikkuni. Steve is a session musician with various artists. Currently he is a member of Hot Club of Valletta, a Gypsy Jazz band.
Apart from playing, Steve does guitars and bass repairs. He also constructs DIY homemade musical instruments. Furthermore, he’s an avid collector of vintage musical instruments and equipment, with which he records and experiments.
