"Her love of sculpture strengthened the respect she had for clay, which itself offers such possibilities as a sculptural medium. (...) She learnt to appreciate the vessel form through her contact with Ganni Bonnici and her English tutors. Her Maltese tutor, [Gabriel Caruana], showed her the joy of the free-style sculptural approach favoured by the Italian school of Ceramica d’Arte in Faenza. Now Sina’s work is hand built, often combining vessel-forming techniques with modelling and sculptural ones. She also makes murals and plaques."[2]
