Ryan Paul Abela is a Maltese singer and musician from Mellieħa.

Ryan Paul has been singing, playing the piano and acting since he was five years old, he studied music at the Malta School of Music. He was always fascinated by the stage especially when it comes to musical theatre. He took part in several musicals produced in Malta including Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita, The Sound of Music (playing the part of Friedrich), and Legally Blonde (Aaron Schultz and chorus). He took part in the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice and also participated in the Indifest.

Ryan started playing the bass when he turned 18 and he has been playing this instrument professionally ever since. He plays both the electric bass and the double bass. He is also a member of the Malta Youth Orchestra, playing at the Gozo Jazz Festival and the Fringe Concerts during the Malta Jazz Festival.

He is constantly studying and writing music, and one of his goals is to study abroad and write and score an orchestral piece for a full orchestra in a big budget movie.

In 2014 on 7 th and 8 th February in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Ryan Paul Abela made it to the Final with his song City Lady and placed the tenth position with 16 points.

Ryan is the only son of composer Paul Abela and singer Georgina Abela.
