Meet Loathe has been around for 8 years and has released a spate of EPs and criss-crossed the UK repeatedly since then.

2009 sees Loathe record their debut full length album, Despondent By Design, due to be released later on in this year.

Loathe has shared stages with a few remarkable bands such as Sabbat, Detonation, Let ‘Em Bürn, SLAB, SevenYearsDead and K.O.Kaine, apart from local heavyweights SLIT, Beheaded, ItEM and Abysmal Torment.

The band plays a fiery brand of metal which fuses elements from the thrash and hardcore movements with the brutality of contemporary death metal.

Loathe has been praised extensively in the press. This is what has been said about their 2007 MCD Darkest Night Of The Soul: “…….With this release Loathe should be brought to the attentions of labels rapidly, mostly owing to the material and the brutality of the mix that leaves no question as to the power of the songs…….” [www.metal-observer.com]

“…….When they get it right, they get it spectacularly right…….” [www.live4metal.com]

“…….the professionalism and talent displayed in the four tracks portrays a group taking their first steps towards an interesting career…….” [www.ultimatemetal.com]

“…….Tight as ever and with murky melodic twists planted deep inside the blend of grating riffage…….” [www.lib66.tk]

“…….A hard sledgehammer blow of thrashes and doom metal goodness…….” [www.raised-horns.co.uk]

The Dark By Design Tour kicked off on Saturday the 24th of October and saw Loathe and SLAB go across the UK in 10 days.
