Mannie Casha is a folk music guitarist, researcher and promoter. Originally from il-Kalkara, he emigrated to Australia, where he has spent several decades documenting għana in Melbourne and Sydney. A presenter on SBS Radio, he hosted programmes including Ir-Rokna tal-Għana Malti.

He has also collaborated with Frans Baldacchino l-Budaj on an album entitled Tila. A prolific musician of folk music, Casha has various instrumental releases, including one about Buskett. He has also successfully documented several Maltese folksingers based in Australia, for the Australian Archives.
