Main Item was a band of the seventies normaly accompanying the singer Enzo Gusman.

The original line-up of the band was Edward Briffa Piano Accordion, Victor Fenech Bass, Charles Sciberras Percussion, Bernadette Buttigieg Violin, her brother Wilfred Buttigieg on the guitar and Enzo Gusman as a singer.

Between 1974 and 1976 the Main Item Band with Enzo Gusman as the lead singer, Victor Fenech on Bass, the late Edward Briffa on Keyboards, Wilfred Buttigieg on the guitar and Joe Camilleri on Drums. And was resident band at the Nigret Night Club at Rabat. After they moved to the Venus Night Club at The Preluna Hotel.

In 1976 Enzo Gusman and Main Item win the 1976 Malta folk Song Festival with the famous song Żepp U Greżż organize by JJ Caruana and Vanni Pulé
