Jacinta Caruana is an Australian singer of Maltese descent.

When she was only 3, she used to belt out John Farnham tunes in the kitchen in front of a camera. That was a pretty clear indication to her parents what she was going to do with her life!

Jacinta developed a love for music from the time shed wriggle around in her cradle to classic vinyls played by her mother, father and sisters. When she heard voices like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson she convinced herself that was what she was meant to be doing with her life: creating music!

After building a reputation as a dedicated and versatile vocalist within the Melbourne music industry, it has been a goal to create a solo EP of music inspired by the artists she grew up with. Teaming up with Grammy Award nominee and producer Phil Turcio, has seen the goal come to life through beautiful melody and infectious beats. During the recording process Jacinta has also had the opportunity to co-write with one of her all time favourite Australian vocalists, Gary Pinto. Lyrically inspired by her growth as an individual and a musician, one may listen to her own personal stories unravel through her music.

With over 15 years performance experience, in areas from original music, musical theatre to corporate entertainment, Jacinta Caruana has developed into a versatile vocalist with a love of all music. Inspired by both classic and contemporary artists, such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Etta James, Alicia Keys and Amy Winehouse, Jacinta lives and breathes music, through performing, writing and teaching. With an Advanced Diploma in Music Performance in jazz and contemporary styles, she writes original music for both solo projects as well as with her band Groove Child.
