Isabella Farrugia

Isabella Farrugia is an Honorary Consul of Malta for Siracusa and Ragusa and a community leader in Catania, Sicily, Italy.

She was born in Sliema, Malta in 1950. She worked with Barclays Bank D.C.O. till 1974 then settled in Catania, Sicily. Isabella holds a degree in Languages from the University of Catania and a Masters Degree, M.Ed TESOL University of Manchester.

She is the co-author of schoolbooks for the teaching of English to Italian students. Isabella has acted as Master of ceremony for the non-profit voluntary association S.O.S. Donna for breast cancer awareness and for the Lions Club International of Taormina, Sicily.

Isabella is the Vice President of the Maltese Association San Pawl Missierna and also the Vice President of the Comitato Consultivo of the Garibaldi Hospital, Nesima, Catania, Sicily. She is a member of the Federation of Maltese Living Abroad (2010-2013)

Isabella is married to Dr Giacomo Fisichella, Breast Surgeon and Consultant at the Garibaldi Hospital, Nesima, Catania, Sicily.
