Duncan Azzopardil

Duncan Azzopardi was born at Msida on 2 Dicember, 1983. He is an Actor.

Duncan Azzopardi started his theatrical sudies at Freespirit Acting in 2005. His breakthrough started with his role in TV series Santa Monika, moving swiftly and forcefully in a variety of leading and supporting roles. From Erwieħ Imsakkra, Is-siġill tal-qrar, Dellijiet, L-Evanġelisti, F’Salib it-Toroq, Anġli and Maskra.

His theatre repertoir includes Avanti, Tamara, Id-Divina Commedia, Satira,L-Indemonjati u Maltin Oħra, Ħitan.

Duncan Azzopardi and Carlos Debattista

He is highly influenced by Russian dramaturgist Konstantin Satnislavsky, intensively researching and conducting workshops about his technique better known as ‘The Method’. Also Duncan uses a lot the Augusto Boal methodology of Forum Theatre which he had the opportunity to experiment in a one week intensive training in Luxembourg part of the Youth in Action programme.

Duncan is currently studying Youth and Community at the University of Malta and his future goals are to continue taking part in TV and theatrical productions but also to use drama as a powerful tool to work with young people.
