Christine Dalli

Christine Dalli born at St Julian’s Malta. She is a Mezzo Soprano.

Christine started singing at an early age with the Cantores Sancti Juliani, under the tuition and direction of Baritone Lino Attard, with whom she sang in concerts both locally and abroad, including the International Choral Festival of Sacred Music “Orlando di Lasso” in Rome (1998); Choral Festival of Sacred Music "Guido d'Arezzo" (2000); London Commonwealth pre CHOGM event (2005).

Christine was a finalist of the Malta International Voice Competition held in 2016. In May 2016, she participated a week of intensive master classes with Soprano Andriana Yordanova whilst in November 2013 she also took part in master classes conducted by Professor Laura Sarti. Moreover, in 2013, Christine formed part of the Manoel Theatre Youth Opera for young singers pursuing careers in Opera.

Her recent engagement includes her participation in the premier performance of the Oratorju of Marija Adeodata, is-Soru li Ħabbet composed by Mro. Raymond Zammit and Paul Ellul where she interpreted the roles of Marija Adeodata’s mother and the Badessa (Mother Superior). Whilst in another recent concert, she has been accompanied by the Junge Philharmonie Wien at the Manoel Theatre, a concert which was held in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund. Christine has also been invited in numerous occasions to sing at various concerts around the island.

Her repertoire includes arias from French as well as Italian operas and operettas and German Lieder. Opera is very much at heart and loves to sing in various languages interpreting characters in their original language. She pursues her vocal studies as a Mezzo Soprano with Lino Attard and is a student with the Atelier Lyrique under the sirectio of Soprano Andriana Yordanova.
