BrightSide is a formed band made up of well-established musicians who wanted to create a band that is adaptable and can cater for all styles of music, from classics to modern hits.

The band consists of three main members – Norbert Camilleri on keyboards, Kurt Dimech on bass guitar and percussionist Aldo Consiglio. These three members serve as the backbone, accompanying other musicians such as singers, guitarists (or both), sax players and violinists.

Our current band setups are as follows:

• A five-piece band consisting of a lead singer who is also a lead/acoustic guitarist – Aldo Spiteri, together with Diane Spiteri who is the backing vocalist and also has her own repertoire. Aldo Spiteri is an established musician having played with various local and foreign bands as well as in concerts such as Rockestra. Aldo and Diane are accompanied by the three main members mentioned above. With this setup the band is able to play various styles of music ranging from soft rock and rock ballads and a vast range of pop music from the 60’s to the present day.

• A four-piece band consisting of a acoustic guitarist and vocalist – Cheryl Balzan. Cheryl is a very well-known guitarist and singer locally having played in many venues and events (including Rockestra) around the island. She has also performed in the UK and has even signed a contract with a foreign label. She is very versatile in her performance having a vast repertoire of songs ranging from the 70’s to the present day. Cheryl is accompanied by the three main members mentioned above.

• A four-piece band consisting of a main vocalist Diane Micallef Castillo. Diane sings in several musical styles, from pop to jazz, and classical music. Diane is also accompanied by the three main members mentioned above.

Diane also offers her service for the wedding mass being accompanied by Norbert Camilleri who is the keyboardist of the band.

There is also the possibility that the three setups mentioned above be combined in any combination or preference to form a big band boosting an infinite number of music styles to cater for nearly all musical tastes. For those couples wanting a more classic and romantic setup for their special occasion, they can opt to have an extra Saxophone player and/or a violinist on request.
