Vinny Vella Sr. born as Ċensu (Vincent) Vella at the Capital City of Malta, Valletta on 28 January 19 . He was Clarinetist and Band Leader.

It was initially studied music alone but which in 1943 he received his first musical lessons under the protection of Fr.Vincent Caruana.

In 1947, Vinny was invited to play the clarinet solo at Catania in Sicily inside Villa Bellini. A year later in 1948 he was combining his own orchestra, of twelve piece musical and took up the name of Vinny's Blue Jackets, made by his brothers, Sunny (Emmanuel), Vella, drummer, that he was dead in 1979 the life expectancy of 48 years and by Dominic Vella on bass.

Vinny had been a member of the Performance Rights Society and between 1955 and 1959 he was re-founded the Union of Maltese musicians. In 1955, Josephine married Vinny. On this the two became the father of three children Antoinette, Vinny Jr. and Carmen. However, Josephine died on 9 February, 1965. In the year 1977 he was married once again. The new love has found it in Antoinette.

Between 1952 and 1981 Vinny and his band were daily at Café Premiere entertainer. Were also giving exhibitions in Malta Hilton, the Holiday Inn and Hotel Galaxy Sliema. From 1947 to 2002 travelling for Vinny was almost a duty. Visited Italy in 1952 and 1962, London in 1963 and 1969, Zurich in 1971, the European Tour in 1989, the group Malcomsim Portsmith, 2000, 2001 and 2002 and Malta Culcter Movement , London.

Playing with the Band of Rediffusion, Culture Orchestra, Orchestra of theaters, and the Orchestra of Tony Douglas and others. On the Rediffusionn was playing in 1949, embarking on lottery 1952, 1956, 1968 and 1971. On television in Vinni Varjerta, playing in 1963, in the Musical Cavalyct in 1974, f’Dejjem Taghkom (Always Yours), in four exhibitions in the signs of f’Sinjali tal-Attakki mill-Arju (Air Attacks) in 1992. Presented on radio ‘Tiftakar ma Vinny’ (Remember with Vinny) for several months.

In a Night of The Stars, ecc, Also appeared on Irish television, Vinny composed also some tunes still played till today on radio and Maltese Television.
