Stolen Creep is the brainchild of Marie (Borg Alden) and Rebecca (Theuma) who, as skirt-clad schoolgirls, dreamt up the idea of starting a band, despite the fact that neither of them could really play an instrument or sing. Rebecca soon picked up a pair of drumsticks; Marie bought herself a guitar; and the rest, as they say, is history.

With drums and guitars in place, the duet soon became a quartet, with Kayleigh (Williams) on the bass, and Kiran (Borg) as lead vocalist.

Katryna (Storace) joined Stolen Creep in February 2010 after an audition to replace former rhythm guitarist, Abigail Grech, who left the band earlier in 2009.

2010 has been an exciting year for the girls thus far. Following a victory at the MKSU Battle of the Bands, Stolen Creep has played a number of live gigs alongside other bands including Saving Alexis, TwoTimeShooter, Bridget Bone, Relick, and UK-based My Drug Hell.

In August, the girls packed their equipment and headed for Temple Studios to record their first single, 'Lector Spector', under the direction of the brilliant David Vella.

With their first single hitting local radio charts, and a fresh new video circulating the world wide web, things are just warming up for Stolen Creep. The girls are currently focusing exclusively on the music, tucking themselves away as often as possible in a cosy gym room somewhere in mellieha to work on new material.

We like: to talk endlessly about their divergent (often bizarre) taste in food; drinking tea or coffee (it's a dividing issue) while practicing; stealing objects, such as buckets and shooter glasses, from bars; going for random dips at ungoldly hours; speaking crap and laughing about it; holding mini, head-bobbing, seated rave parties at the back of the car while on the way, usually, to a gig; smearing glow-in-the-dark-paint everywhere; bouncing to music we love; holding impromptu jam sessions including shakers, glocks, tambourines, and anything that will make a noise; changing guitar strings with string winders Jim and Alice; Radiohead; causing a riot; mosh-pits; cooking up electro fantasies on the synth that would give any DJ a run for his money; making music with love, passion, and wonder.
