Untiled (Yalta)

Untitled (Yalta) is a paper collage drawing in charcoal by artist Mario Abela. It measures 84cm x 64cm in its frame. This work was donated to Fondazzjoni Kreattività in 2018 and is now part of the Fondazzjoni Kreattività Art Collection.

It was part of Dislocated Geographies exhibition held at Spazju Kreattiv.

World events are often embedded within contemporary art so it is no surprise that iconic photojournalism such as that capturing the Yalta Conference that brought together Churchill, Toosevelt and Stalin to discuss the future of Europe towards the end of World War II serves as a starting point to Mario Abela's Dislocated Geographies.
