Trackage Scheme is a music hub that identifies, supports and promotes Maltese artists. Its mission is to support Maltese musical talent in pursuing their dreams and aspirations: it is an increasingly popular medium through which local artists present their work and receive critical acclaim. The organization's vision is to be Malta’s leading platform to showcase local talent in an international spotlight.

Trackage Scheme has two main portals:
1. The Facebook group which is used as a music sharing platform
2. The Facebook page which is used to spotlight Maltese artists, share interviews, music productions, competitions, events as well as update members with our current and future projects
 
In just a short while, Trackage Scheme’s (closed) music group ([https://www.facebook.com/groups/120736544802473]) grew to over 1,300 members with an average of 2 new members daily and traffic of roughly 15 postings per day. On Thursday 5th June 2014 the official Facebook page ([https://www.facebook.com/TrackageScheme]) was launched and has since reached over 1K+ 'Likes'.

Over the last few months, the Trackage Scheme team has been working on various exciting projects, including:
 
Interviewing local artists - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wXNY_0ZvIg] - This is a compilation of excerpts taken from our first two rounds of interviews where Trackage Scheme met up with some of Malta's music artists to get to know them better and also talk about the local alternative music scene.
 
Collaborations with local artists to create a series of music podcasts which are uploaded at [https://soundcloud.com/trackagescheme]
 
Collaborations with local artists (such as Plato’s Dream Machine, Dolls for Idols, KNTRL, Owen Jay, and Melchior Sultana etc.) to create fun and exciting competitions where the winners win local music productions (e.g. LPs, CDs, EPs etc…)
 
Collaborations with St. James Cavalier ([http://www.sjcav.org/]) to review screenplays and showcase local audio-visual (AV) artists. Trackage Scheme was invited by St. James Cavalier to interview and record a local audio-visual performance prior to the screening of Jonathan Glazer’s ‘Under the skin’
 
Obtaining sponsorship deals in terms of music courses for guitar, drums as well as DJing
 
Creation of merchandise including t-shirts, stickers, badges and banners
 
Gaining support from local bloggers and music enthusiasts including Ramona Depares, Michael Bugeja and Toni Sant. We also attended two radio interviews with Michael Bugeja on a well-respected radio station and program Radio 101 (Rockna)
 
Two events, held on 5th July 2014 and on 6th December 2014 ([[https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152852515550609.1073741836.559565608&type=1]]) where over 500 people attended each event. The events involved multiple music genres including Alternative, Indie, Rock, Ambient, House, Techno, Electronica and Experimental. A visual performance, produced by Toni Gialanze (Digital Nature -  [https://www.facebook.com/digitalnaturemalta?fref=ts]) accompanied the music throughout the entire second event. Additionally, Trackage Scheme collaborated with SunSounds ([https://www.facebook.com/sunsoundsmalta?fref=ts]) to host a musical instrument exposition which displayed local, handmade guitars, amplifiers, pedals etc. Trackage Scheme also sold local merchandise such as CDs, LPs, T-shirts etc at this stall. Moreover, a small art exposition was hosted by Sean Camilleri ([https://www.facebook.com/SeanContemporaryArt?fref=ts]) who painted canvasses exclusively for this event.

Trackage Scheme is developing a fully-fledged web platform which will showcase Maltese artists across several genres and will include their biographies, photos as well as links to their social media platforms and other online resources. This web platform will also host news and articles about local artists and the Maltese music scene.

Trackage Scheme will be organising a series of live music events in a beautiful outdoor location every Wednesday this summer, starting in June. This is in line with Trackage Scheme's mission to continue supporting and promoting Maltese music. Trackage Scheme is working with the venue’s management to prepare a setup where artists can literally plug-in and play.
 
These events will be free and people are encouraged to attend to discover new music, support local talent and have a great time!

The next event which will be held at Gianpula Rooftop on Saturday 4th July and will host another amazing pool party with an completely revamped line up consisting of Malta’s top musicians. Once again, this event will showcase a wide spectrum of Maltese music including live bands and DJs. Trackage Scheme is developing a fully-fledged web platform which will showcase Maltese artists across several genres and will include their biographies, photos as well as links to their social media platforms and other online resources. This web platform will also host news and articles about local artists and the Maltese music scene.

Trackage Scheme presents Rooftop Live Sessions every Wednesday
