Theresa Gauci born in the small village of Għargħur, Malta, on 14 July,1954. She is an Actress and Broascaster.

Theresa Gauci has been passionate about Maltese culture from a very young age. She was involved in Theatrical Productions varying from Greek tragedies to other Classics, productions by contemporary dramatists and also in various Radio and T.V. Drama. She has been nominated for three consecutive years for Best Actress in The Malta T.V. Awards.

Gauci is a versatile, highly-skilled actress. She has extensive experience in television and radio, working on a range of programmes, in production as well as presenting. Gauci has starred in many plays, radio programmes, radioplays, teleserials, documentaries and movies. Together with her husband Martin, she produced and presented various series of radio programmes, amongst which: Għal Għonq it-Triq (aired on Radio Malta for 4 years), Mulej Tgħidlix li Jien Stramb, Ċikku l-Poplu jiltaqa’ Ma’... ... ( on (FM Bronja), Infittxu li nsiru nafuhom (on (RTK), Rokna Kulturali (Radio Malta), together with various radio plays and documentaries on Campus FM. Gauci is one of the leading women promoting the preservation of Maltese dialect in its cultural setting. She is frequently asked to host and present various cultural evenings.

Throughout the years, Theresa has embarked on various theatre, radio and television projects. Undoubtedly, television roles like that of Sika (in Baħar Wieħed), Saverja (in Il-Madonna taċ-Ċoqqa) Connie (in Santa Monika) Agnes (in Tmien Nota) Nena (in Iċ-Ċaqqufa) Clara (in Iż-Żagħka), Ċensina (in Nostalġija). All these launched her further to the recognition she now enjoys.

Nevertheless, it was the numerous theatre roles and the directors she worked with to whom she credits for her technique. Apart from acting in leading roles in plays by Moliere, Neil Simon and Arthur Miller which have proved her versatility as an actor, working with Maltese theatre masters such as Albert Marshall, Profs. Joe Friggieri, Mario (Il-Mulej) Azzopardi and Francis Ebejer has definitely enhanced her theatrical aptitude and love for Maltese theatre.

At the Manoel Theatre, she has acted in the opera of Mro. Charles Camilleri Il-Wegħda (both in 1984 and 2007), and the Operetta La Vedova Allegra; plays amongst which feature Djarju ta’ Sara, Trappisti, Tkun Darb’oħra Mikelanġ, Caravaggio and L-Għanja taċ-Ċinju by Friggieri; and Ħitan, Il-Ħadd fuq il-Bejt, Ġaħan ta’ Binġemma and Meta Morna tal-Mellieħa by Ebejer. Ninu Cremona’s Il-Fidwa tal-Bdiewa and Alexander Gasparov’s Skakkumatt are few works in which Theresa collaborated with the National Philarmonic Orchestra. Theresa has also impressed viewers with her command of the Maltese dialect in Ebejer’s Dar tas-Soru, the adapted television version.

Gauci participated as well in Mela Hawn xi Manikomju by Alfred Buttigieg and Għajn ma Tara by Simone Ellul, at Spazju Kreattiv, St James Cavalier.
