The oratorio delves deep into the epic and tragic motifs of the soldier saint’s life by means of a beautifully conceived dialectic. Throughout his composition, Sciberras alternates between classical and contemporary motifs, thus evoking both the ancient and the present relevance of the martyr’s enduring cult. The composition, in fact, is structured around movements composed for the traditional operistic roles of tenor [[Charles Vincenti]] soprano [[Rosabelle Bianchi]] and [[Mirabitur Choir]]  directed by [[Simone Attard]] that converse, throughout the oratorio, with the contemporary vocalisations of singers [[Pamela Bezzina]] and [[Corazon Mizzi]].

The Oratorio was held in October, 2012 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta with music by Mro. Raymond Sciberras and lyrics by Sebastian Saliba.

The composition, in fact, is structured around movements composed for the traditional operistic roles of tenor Charles Vincenti soprano Rosabelle Bianchi and Mirabitur Choir directed by Simone Attard that converse, throughout the oratorio, with the contemporary vocalisations of singers Pamela Bezzina and Corazon Mizzi.
