Shirley Galea born on 30 June, 1982 at St Luke's Hospital in Pietà and raised up in Il-Gżira. She is a singer.
Shirley began singing at the age of 13 years old with her friends when they made a karaoke competition.
Practically she always been singing with disc cartoon time and she would be learn all of them without seeing the lyrics.
After the karaoke esperance Shirley contunted singing, she begian taken part in some some festivals where she submit her orginals songs, and was a little difficlut for her because she got no one the give her the right direction. But she got her mother who was interessed the send her the learn a few singing lessions, and give her the courage to keep on going singing and invested on her songs and recordings.
Ture the years shirley beagin also singing in wedding, parties, in hotels and in festivals and always she gane the experance.
The first time that Shirley taken part in a festival, was at the time she got 14 years old and she sing the Mariah Carrey song Hero she placed First. In the same year 2001 she taken part in a big festival Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2001 and she win it again with the song Bi Tbissima.
From there she begain to taken part in the others main festivals like L-Għanja tal-Poplu, Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, Kanzunetta Internazzjonali Maltija, Malta Song For Europe, Festival Super One and some others too.
She win prize in L-Għanja tal-Poplu for the best interpretation for the song Talba Għalik and the televoting prize in the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza
She got the opportunity to went singing in Russia, but in the last few days she cancel the trip cause a war in that area.
Shirley unfortunately she stop her singing career when she married and decieded to taken care her family especially her son.
