Huwa miet f’Ħaż-Żabbar nhar il-31 ta’ Lulju 1972. F’għomor ta’ 82 sena. Il-Każin tal-Partit Laburista f’Ħaż-Żabbar u anke triq fl-istess lokalità huma msemmija għal Astarita.
