Clean-up Needed

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.

Riga Symphony - 2013 is a festival that promotes and develops non-formal creative education opportunities in Latvia internationally. The main activities are the organization of international festivals and master classes. One of the midpoints of the Riga Symphony - 2013 Festival is the international youth song and vocal competition, which will take place from December 5 to 9 in Riga. The main goal of the competition is to serve as an international platform for young performers, to promote the genre of popular, traditional and academic singing, to strengthen international relations and creative contacts, to involve young people of different nationalities in promoting the cultural heritage of Latvia and the Baltic States, giving them the opportunity to show their skills and their own cultures. The most important thing for us is to see the energy of a full-fledged youth who has a desire to create new music and work in the field of popular music.

Our main goals are:

Promote the integration of young people from different countries; Promo tolerance for young people with fewer opportunities and orphans; To promote Riga city as a city of Baltic music and to introduce Latvian music; To promote active participation and involvement in music events at the Latvian and European level; Encourage the creation of new songs in the best Latvian music traditions; Support new composers, poets and performers; Give the festival participants the opportunity to show their creative work to producers, managers and agents of various international projects; Encourage children and adolescents to engage in cultural and artistic activities as well as to enable participants to participate in television, radio and Internet broadcasts; Strengthen cultural links between young people at international level; Supporting children's homes and attracting funds for rehabilitation services that are necessary for many children with special needs, but their families or guardians can not provide them independently;

Continue to generate funds for charity (for charities - our cooperation partners); from 2013, part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity.

The festival has already kicked off with its contribution to charity, giving orphans and young people with limited opportunities a chance to take part in various events, thus promoting and emphasizing
