Early in 2006 a group of students decided to have a couple of jamming sessions. After several successful yet casual jams, the musicians grew closer and it was not long before they decided to stick together as a formal band.
Relikc is a funk band from Malta. The band's current lineup consists of Keith Zammit (vocals), Luke Grech (guitars), Ivan Giordano (bass), Joseph Axiak (keyboards), and Lesnich Vassallo (drums).


Eventually four of the members moved on to pursue their own styles of Funk and Rock forming a tightly-knit rock-quartet that better suited their direction. The members, Luke Grech - Guitars, Ivan Giordano - Bass, Robert Spiteri - Drums and Keith Zammit - Vocals; had several successful gigs and managed to prove their worth. Few months later, Joseph Axiak - Keyboards was also invited to join the band.
Having played together in several bands and projects, the members finally stuck together as a formal band in 2009. The band crammed its schedule with a multitude of gigs. Relikc also released a number of songs over the years and established its position in the local music scene pushing through with its particular style and variety of sound. The band gained a very loyal audience for its energetic and fun performances.  


The musicians had been friends and had played together in many different projects from a very young age, resulting in a tight band with great chemistry between the members.  
2012 marked a decline in Relikc's activity due to differing commitments and availabilities. This lead to the eventual decision by Robert to leave the band in order to focus on his other commitments. For a long time, Relikc was silent and was just about to end, when in 2013, Lesnich, a long-time friend, was asked to take Robert's place.  


Over the years, Relikc released a number of songs which were aired over numerous radio stations and gained a very loyal audience for its energetic and fun performances. However 2012 marked a decline in Relikc's activity due to differing commitments and availabilities. This lead to the eventual decision by Robert to leave the band in order to focus on his other commitments. The band decided that Relikc can not proceed with a different member, as the band's unique sound was a result of each member's varied input and personality. Relikc decided to end this chapter and start anew.
Throughout these last few months, Relikc has focused on rebuilding its tight and energetic performance. All members have gained a deeper connection with the band, and Lesnich's disciplined and focused drumming fit in perfectly like a glove. The band is funkier than ever! Relikc is ready to take 2014 by storm...
