Clean-up Needed

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.

Rachel Verzin

Rachel Verzin born on 11 June, 1993, is a upcoming singer who hails from Birkirkara but lives in St Paul’s Bay. She is a Singer.

She has always been interested in music and singing but did not take the stage until she was a teenager in school productions. She continued doing so successfully and her love for singing continued to grow further on.

In 2011, she auditioned for ‘Entertain Me’ on Favourite Channel and she successfully made it through to the final stage of the competition where she finished in third place. This experience gave her the confidence she needed and the year after she decided to audition for the same programme where she finished in second place. This served her as confidence boost and as an opportunity to make new friends.

That same year, Rachel made it through to the finals of Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with Dell l-Istilel composed by Domnic Cini ‘Minik’, to the lyrics of Stephen Baldacchino – the song finished in 8th place on the final night. This was the first experience for Rachel in a local festival and served her as an opportunity to work on different projects.

In fact in 2013, Rachel accompanied Marie Claire Attard Bason as a backing vocalist in Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza and again in the 2014 edition of L-Għanja Tal-Poplu. Her latest success came when she made it to the finals of the Summer Hit Song Contest with the song The Joke Is On You composed by Elton Zarb and written by Emil Calleja Bayliss.

Rachel looks forward to keep on working and exploring different music styles whilst working on new original songs. She would like to hit the local airwaves with one of her songs and maybe someday even participate in the Malta Eurovision.
