Dr Gulia was born in Żebbuġ on 5 April, 1924, and graduated as a lawyer in 1949. He served as senior crown counsel between 1966 and 1971, before becoming deputy attorney general. He was appointed judge in 1974 and served on the constitutional court between 1978 and 1983. Dr Gulia served on various judicial boards and civilian committees.

Dr Gulia was born in Żebbuġ on 5 April, 1924, and graduated as a lawyer in 1949. He served as senior crown counsel between 1966 and 1971, before becoming deputy attorney general. He was appointed judge in 1974 and served on the constitutional court between 1978 and 1983. Dr Gulia served on various judicial boards and civilian committees.

He married Antida in 1955 and they had three sons, Kenneth, Alan and Gavin, the former Labour minister and former Malta Tourism Authority chairman.

Dr Gulia passed away on Saturday 17 December 2016, aged 92.
