Nakita Grima was born on 4 August 1992. Grew up at Ħal Tarxien. She is an Actress and production manager with Rewind Productions.
She went to Our Lady Immaculate School in Ħamrun and at the moment she is studying for a Higher National Diploma in Business at MCAST. From a very young age, Nakita started showing interest in drama. In fact, at the age of three, she took part in her first school play and has never looked back.
Although she was never given the opportunity to interpret a main part during school plays, she never gave up on her dream. At the age of fourteen, she started taking various drama courses in order to improve her acting skills. Various people in life have often challenged her, saying that she would never make it and that all her efforts would be in vain. However, Nakita always looks forward and at the age of seventeen all her hard work started to pay off. The chance to start her acting career came by a call for extras in Evanġelisti. After this start, she went on to be an extra in various dramas these include Salib it-Toroq, La Familia, Deċeduti, Xablott, Rubini and Emilja to mention a few.
In 2011, Nakita was given the opportunity to take part as an extras students in D.R.E.A.M.S. Evelyn Saliba La Rosa and Michael Vella Haber offered her the opportunity to be one of the cast in this same production. I interpreted the role of Mandy. In 2014, I was given the opportunity to be part of the Katrina cast. At the moment, I am interpreting the character of Stephanie / Ilona.
Another milestone she achieved while working with Rewind Productions was when she took part with DREAMS cast for the Malta Eurosong of 2012 and 2013. Rewind Production showed enough confidence in her that they gave her the opportunity to be part of their team as a Production Manager. At the moment, she is managing their dramas, DREAMS, Zafira and Ħbieb u Għedewwa, with the help of the other team members. She is also working on another dream to produce a short film of her own.
The first role she ever played on Maltese television was Mandy in D.R.E.A.M.S. who is a sweet lovable girl who wishes to help her friend, Letizia.
She currently interpreting the role of Stephanie in Katrina. She is also known as Ilona and she grew up in an orphanage with Katrina and Paula. But as time passed they went their separate ways. Her story is an unfortunate one as she was abandoned twice – by her biological parents and then by her foster family. But now that she is trying to set things right, we will see more in the coming episodes.
