He is the condu with the Band of [[Maria Bambina Musical Society]] and Wind Band in [[Naxxar]] from year 2000 till today, and also condact with the Band [[Duke of Connaught's Own]] from 2008 till 2017, and assistant band master from the year 1996 till today with [[Pinto Philharmonic Society]] in his hometown, Qormi.

Mro. Roderick Bugeja

As Principal Trombone, Roderick has toured across continents and performed in various prestigious venues such as the Berliner Philharmonie, the pontifical basilica of San Paolo fuori le Mura, Shanghai Concert Hall and Musikverein. He has also been invited to perform with various orchestras such as Bewald Symphony Orchestra of Stockholm and Otto-Sinfoniker Berlin. Roderick has also performed as a soloist playing the euphonium with international artists such as Robert Childs. With the Trombone he has had solo performances with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Eurasian Symphony Orchestra, Kazakhstan. As a conductor, he has had the honour of directing the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and the Malta Youth Orchestra as well as various wind bands in Malta. He enjoys composing and has so far written several marches, a waltz and a tone poem in three movements based on the work of Mario F. Bezzina. Roderick is frequently called upon to deliver various masterclasses related to different brass instruments.

Roderick has attended international trombone festivals and participated in several masterclasses with international acclaimed Trombonists such as Jurgen Van Rijen and Jiggs Wigam. He also participated in a trombone ensemble with Irvin Wagner and is a member of the Valletta Baroque Ensemble, where he performs on the sackbut with acclaimed baroque players from the United Kingdom.

He got alot of Compositions, one could mention the Tone Poem ‘L-Għanja tal-Qniepen’ , Procession Waltzers, Procession Marches and Funeral Marches and Festive Marches.

Roderick is one of the founders of the Crossbones quartet and the Versatile Brass Ensemble with which he performs to date. Roderick has been appointed as a K&G Mouthpieces artist. In his free time Roderick enjoys aviation and holds a private pilot licence.
