Mro. Hertian Gauci

Mro. Hertian Gauci was born in 1984 in Senglea, and began his clarinet studies within the "Società Filarmonica Nazionale La Valette" at the age of nine years, with assistant conductor Mro. Archibald Mizzi. He continued his studies under the clarinettist Freddie Mizzi and subsequently entered the Johann Strauss School of Music. Here under the guidance of the clarinettist Godfrey Mifsud scored the ALCM diplomas, LLCM And FLCM the clarinet, while in theory was led by the late conductor Mro Ronnie Debattista.

He attended several masterclasses and was a teacher and soloist in several Bands. Currently he is an assistant headmaster and teacher of the shank section with Każin San Ġiużepp u Banda De Rohan, Ħaż-Żebbuġ and teacher with Soċjeta Filarmonica La Vittoria Mellieħa. In 2017 he won the composition competition where his hymn chosen as the anthem of the local council of Mellieħa officials.

Hertian graduated BA (Hons) in Italian in 2005 and a year later brought the diploma PGCE. IN 2011 brought a Masters in Education from the University of Malta. Actually Hertian is specialized in dyslexia teacher with the education department and is also
