Mro. Gaetano Emmanuel Cali

Mro. Gaetano Emmanuele Cali was born in Catania on 17 June 1885.

From a young age appeared to drive for music and his parents sent him to study at one of the best Italian musicians and composers, the Mro. Francesco Paolo Frontini. This Headmaster who came realized that the small Gaetano was not just flirt for music, but had already started to show his talent was not like others.

That time was a golden age for the De Rohan Band and its fans were going wherever been invited De Rohan band to deliver its service in various festivals abroad Żebbuġ.

The music of Maestro Gaetano Emmanuele Cali is a popular music which came from the heart and the ability of a conductor so hardworking. The Cali Headmaster directed the latter program with the Banda de Rohan on 22 of February 1914.

The Maestro Gaetano Emmanuele Cali died at the age of 51 years at Syracuse on 1 May 1936.
