Mayssa has 3 other siblings, her older sister Mariem Louati born on 27 January, 1994 and her twin brothers Amin and Anis Louati born in Malta on 18 May, 2005. Mayssa went to Local Primary school in the Village of [[Mellieħa]], northern part of Malta where she was raised and still living till today.  
Along with both her Tunisian parents, Mayssa migrated to [[Malta]] in June 2000, when she was about two and a half years old after her parents fell in love with the island.


She learned Maltese language and speaks as fluent as the locals. Mayssa says that she feels no different from any Maltese person she says ''I just feel blessed that I found myself on this island while I still respect my African heritage''.

Mayssa has 3 siblings,  Mariem Louati, her older sister born 27th January 1994 and Amin and Anis Louati her twin brothers born in Malta 18th May 2005.

Mayssa went to Local Primary school, in the Village of [[Mellieħa]], northern part of Malta where she was raised and still living till today.
She knew she wanted to become a singer since the age of 4 when she gave a performance at her parents’ home. Her first real performance was held in [[St Claire’s Collage]] in [[Pembroke]], Malta the secondary school she used to go to.  
She learned the Maltese language and speaks as fluent as the locals.


She decided to sing a Rap song by Nicky Minaj ft Rihanna – ''Fly'' for the school’s talent show. She used to be in the Kunsill taż-Żgħażagħ in Mellieħa where she took the chance to sing ''Halo'' by Beyonce and ''Where’s the Love'' by the Black Eyes Pease.  
Mayssa says that she feels no different from any Maltese person, she says ''I just feel blessed and lucky that I found myself on this beautiful island''.


On 3rd June, 2018 Mayssa with here stage name Mayssa Lou enter in her first singing competition organised by [[DBS Productions]] ''Shine Singers Festival'' and she won her category with the song ''Rocket'' by Beyonce’ with the help of her vocal teacher [[Phyllisienne Brincat]]. She left home with three trophies representing First place, Best Voice and the Grand Prix of that festival edtion.  
She always loved singing and dancing since the age of 4 when she gave a performance at her parents’ home and impressed them.


She’s also a belly dancer and hiphop dancer. Mayssa says that she is looking forward to keep learning and growing in music and any other aspect of her life.
