Maurice Eminyan was born in Valletta, Malta on 30 April, 1922. Professor of Dogmatic Theology.

Educated at Umberto I School, Valletta, and Lyceum. After he joining the Scoiety of Jesus, he obtained a Lic.Phil. from Heythrop College, Oxon in 1946. An S.Th.Lic. from Woodstock College. Washington (1953), and from the Gregoria University of Rome (1959).

Prof. Eminyan was professor of dogmatic theology at the University between 1965 and 1993 and director of the Institute of Religious Studies at the University for many years. He was Dean of the Faculty of Theology between 1975 and 1982 and Jesuit Provincial between 1960 and 1966.

The Jesuit Order said he passed away at Loyola House, Naxxar, comforted by holy rites.He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren of the Society of Jesus in Malta, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Among many other roles, he was nation chaplain of the German-speaking community. He active in counseling on moral and family problems and hes been taking partin radio and TV programmes since 1962.

Hu author of “The Salvation Of Infidels in Current Theology” (Rome 1959), “The Theology of Salvation” (Boston 1960), “The Mystery of Salvation” (1973), “Iż-Żwieġ u l-Ippjanar tal-Familja” (1974), “Dejjem Tiegħek Vol.1” (1970), Vol.II (1972), Vol.III (1975) and others.

He passed away at the age of 88.
