Marlene Chetcuti was born on 23 August, 1963 in Pieta and grow up at Naxxar. Marlene Chetcuti is a Country Music Singer.
Marlene started her career from the young age of 10 years. She begin take part in festivals and choirs sing with soprano Antoinette Miggiani inside the Manoel Theatre at Valletta. And was even playing guitar and sing in churches for several years.
Started by classical music which then switched to pop music and Italian songs, Later over the years began to join with a known bands accord Malta where she give shows with them. Most insprerat music that was country music that her voice so fit for it. From there she continued with his line in the country music and today was very famous for it.
In 1991 she was named to took part in festivals Passaporto Per San Remo which was the first in its category she got a country song of singer Patsy Cline. Participate inside San Remo with the same song which was very welcome and was invited as Guest for the end of the evening. There she meet ascertainable with various singers and international fame including Rocky Roberts and Tony Dallara.
In Malta took part in many television programs as well as sing and interviews. Got interview on BBC Radio Suffolk in England also where her fame continued. She got a good feedback from people which remained strong call to listen more from her voice.
She has now been in the Country music scene for the past 29 years which sang various places abroad, including San Remo, England, Holland, Germany, Australia as well as inside Nashville in America.
Marlene worth mentioning that for the second time in August of 2008 went to Nashville where once again sang several popular night clubs including Crossroads, Legends Corner, and Nashville Nightlife known where she was invited to sing as a guest singer. In this nightclub where great singers fall of country music, including Brenda Best accompanied with his live band who performed and recorded songs with the cream of country music.
With out mentioning that Marlene was very welcome and with a great applause where many comper her voice with the singer Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline. Nowadays she is still in contact with these artists where they introduced her as a talented singer from Malta.
Marlene was interesting interpretations issued brilliant album entitled Me Country. It was an anthology of her favorite passages that are among the ingredients in the show that offers Marlene when invited to sing . Include which Maltese famous musicians as well as famous singers Bayzo
During this summer, Marlene released her second album entitled of 'You're My World. Recorded in Creative Studio and encompasses 12 track which includes among other known versions of some of her favorite singers Tanya Tucker, Connie Smith and Patsy Cline. Among the most well-known passages even by those who are not so familiar with Country music, Marlene brilliantly interprets the songs You Needed Me (Ann Murray), Funny Face (Donna Fargo) and the title track You're my World of Cilla Black in 1964 was interpreted for the first time the original English version of The Mio Mondo. This collection is dedicated to Norbert, to Marlene refers to as its shelf and the core of everything.
The past year 2012 Marlene had the opportunity to go sing in Australia in Queensland and Sydney where it was very well accepted.
So much so that once again been invited to come jump in March of this year 2013 where it gives concerts rose inside Sydney and Adelaide.
Marlene is known for country music w shall in need of any ntroduction Malta. She is famous as Malta's No.1 First Lady Of Country Music. Singing in various localities in Malta and Gozo and private functions.
