In order to ascertain that everything in her career is in order, and organiser properly, she has recently signed a contract with Marc Calleja Bayliss of Ironic PR & Artist Management.

Some of the major music competitions that Marilena has taken part in, include; the Junior Song for Europe in 2003 (as a soloist) and in 2004 (as a group with the Young Talent Team, which went onto win and represent Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Lillehammer, Norway), the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza in 2011, 2012, and 2014 (finishing as the first runner-up in the last two attempts), the Summer Hit Song Contest in 2008 and 2009, the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and 2013 and L-Għanja tal-Poplu Żagħżagħ - 2007 (which she won).

One of the favourite pastimes and also way to unwind is running, and as a matter of fact, Marilena decided to try the Santiago for Charity, a 130km distance. It was a breathtaking experience, and one which she would like to do once more, even take it a couple of steps further, if need be. Whilst she is recognised for her singing career in Malta, Marilena was also trained abroad in the art of dance, having joined the Cambridge at Body Works Company, learning from the best, noting that a number of tutors came from the reality talent show, Amici.

Marilena Gauci reached the finals of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest back in 2011 with the track He's A Demon which was written by Michael Henry and penned by Anthony Grech. The performer has been quickly gaining a lot of critical acclaim noting that she finished as the first runner-up at the 2012 edition of the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with the track Bl-Ikbar Serjetà following her fourth place finish last year in the same competition with Dil-Qalb Kbira. Marilena is also known to many for having represented Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest back in 2004 along with the Young Talent Team and their entry Power of a Song.
