Maltese Lira (instrument)

The Maltese lira is a string, bowed instrument which has maintained its basic physical properties across history. The main characteristics are three strings; tuning pegs fitted perpendicularly to the head; absence of a fingerboard or frets; mobile bridge and soundpost.
