MMI 2006 Listeners' Picks Poll
The MMI Listeners' Picks poll aims to establish the top favourite releases of the year among the weekly Mużika Mod Ieħor podcast listeners.
A list of music released during 2006 from Maltese recording artists was compiled by Toni Sant for his first annual MMI Listeners' Picks poll. The preliminary list was first published on Friday 15 September 2006. This was not a fully comprehensive list of 2006 releases; Toni Sant made it clear on his podcast and blog that the list was somewhat selective - but the scope was to include as many titles as possible at the nomination stage.
Top Picks
Snap Poll was used for this very first MMI Listeners' Picks poll in 2006. However, as multiple votes from the same computer were only limited by a simple cookie on this free website poll, some individuals managed to vote more than once. The voting was therefore somewhat skewed in favour of whoever figured out this loophole in the poll.
Numbers after each top pick indicate overall percentage and total number of votes in that category.
