At present, the majority of the main contributors are ppl from the rock/pop scene. Other local music scenes include: Jazz, għana, classical, opera, pantomime, sacred music...

How do we go about tapping into their circles and convince the main players in the relevant group to become active contributors to M3P? IDEAS:

more awareness - media: write-ups, interviews, a 'physical' local link that ppl can contact.
devise some activities/novelties/experiments/experiences to make ppl aware of the work of M3P and entice them to contribute, then look at the outcome to see if/how they worked.

This is definitely a step in the right direction. Thanks for getting us started! Ideally we should proceed with a systematic strategy asap. You've already pointed to three aspects of this systematic strategy, so we should probably keep building on this:
  1. User-base matters: Identifying who is actually already contributing and/or potentially contributing (i.e. low-use registered users) -- there may be extensions to help us do this, such as the ones listed here
  2. Media relations: Mike Bugeja and Noel D'Anastas had already started helping out with this. Alex Grech was thinking about using social media networks more too.
  3. Events/activities: M3P Jiltaqa' Ma'... is one idea in this direction. The M3P:Inaugural Conference is another. We probably need to think a little more long-term and possibly even in terms of more activities other than these.
Perhaps Tuesday's meeting with Alex and Mike is a good place to pick this up. It's already (almost) on the agenda anyway. --Toni Sant (talk) 17:05, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
