Sunday 18 November 2007 (Michael Bugeja - The Sunday Times of Malta)

The night of Saturday November 24 will be the Darkest Night of the Soul, at least upstairs at Paceville rock venue Remedy! Nothing sinister about it of course, just one full-on live performance from Loathe, one of the foremost extreme metal acts on the island to celebrate the launch of its latest EP! Upcoming band Insurgence will be supporting.

The Darkest Night of the Soul is the band’s third release to date, and one they consider to feature their best work yet. Earlier this year, Loathe travelled to the UK where they played no fewer than 11 live gigs in Wakefield, Manchester, Birmingham and Lancaster. The band has been booked for another UK visit in December, when they will be performing at the Black Winter’s Day Festival in Bradford alongside metal legends Sabbat, thrashers Evile and Dutch death metallers Detonation.
