Leli Ellul Il-Beġiġ is a a folk singer of improvised verse, born on the 21st December 1963. He is a relative newcomer and the although his parents are from Msida and Valletta, he is Sliema's flag bearer in Maltese folk music. Ellul became infatuated with għana in 2003, in quite extraordinary circumstances.
