Kirs Spiteri

Kris Spiteri born in Cospicua on 16 July, 1977. He is the son of songwriter and lyricist Lawrence Spiteri and Odette Spiteri. He is a pianist, musical director and composer from the Maltese Islands. He acquired a B.A. Hons in Music Studies and also obtained the PGCE degree in Music Education from the University of Malta. He studied Jazz Piano with Dave Frank and Dan Hearle. He is married and lived at Pembroke.

In 2012 and 2015 Spiteri directed and wrote the band arrangements for the National concerts of Animae Gospel Choir.

Kris forms part of the jazz trio Noir with whom he recorded the album 'Till you switch off the lights' and played the material from the album at the Malta Jazz Festival and at the 'My Unique Jazz festival' in Berlin.

Kris give his contribution as a pianist on several songs like 'Young Man' (2014) by Electrick, 'Stormy Night' (2015) by Nadine Axisa, the cd album 'Till you switch off the lights' (2016) by trio Noir, 'Hey Now' (2016) by Sandrina, and other cd album 'Lukanda Propaganda' on (2017) by Kafena.
