This was the Night Edition of the Festival Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2000 Since the festival begain again in 1997. This Festival was showed direct on Net TV and the price of televoting was confimed too.

Priminary Jury

The organisers under the chair person Hose Micallef announced the 16 entries which qualified for the next round to be held in the final between 18 and 19 September, 2000 at Floriana The Granaries. The theme of the Festival was Lejn Ġejjen b’Identita.

From this edition the prize of the Best Lyrics, Prize for Best Composer, Prize for Best Interpretation, where dropted , and was confirmed the Prizes for Televoting, For Third Place, Lm 150 and trophy for singer, Author and Composer, For Second Place, Lm 250 and trophy for singer, Author and Composer, For First Place, Lm 400 and trophy for singer, Author and Composer. The Trophies was presented by the General Secretary of The Nationalist Party Joe Saliba in the presence of the President of the Organizing Committee Hose Micallef.
