After the success of the First Editon of the Festival Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 1983 The Organising Committee continued working on the second edition, they made some small changes too and keep going working on the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 1984 planed to held in middle of September as part from the celebration of the Independence Day. This year was the Celebration of the 20 th Anniversary from the day Malta came Independent in 21 st September, 1964.And this Festival Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 1984 was included in the celebration week.

Organising Committee

The organizing Committee under the Chairman ship of Charles A.Bellia, issued the regulaitions of the festival, the other members where Charles Stroud, Tony Catania Caruana]] and Doris Stroud. There where 33 songs, and it was very hard for the Jury ? to heard the songs in the eliminatory phase too chose 16 songs for the Final.

The Festival

The Festival was held on Wednesday 14 September, 1984 again at the Alhambra Theater at Sliema. The Festival was opens and end with the Majorettes march around the Alhambra hall.

With a politic teem of Independence, like the first Festival. The teem of the Festival was:- Seddaq Il-Għaqda Fil-Maltin u s-Sliem.

For this Festival the Committee’ again, think to issued a cassette with this songs with a production of Tony C.Scott and prepare a souvernerprogram with the lyrics of the songs, and photos of the singers taken part, the compers of the Festival where Hector Bruno and Louise Agius.

During the process by the jury to chose the winners, there was entertainment by [  ? ], the duo [ ? ] and [ ? ], [ ? ] and a comedy sketch by Paul Mintoff and Hector Bruno.

Other Prizes

The stage set was made by Rueben Caruana while Charles Stroud was the stage director. The trophies was presented by Dr.Eddie Fenech Adami President of the Nationalist Party, and at the end he address to the present public.
