Clean-up Needed

The text currently on this page needs further work. It was most likely imported or reproduced from a website associated with the subject of the page - possibly through a process involving far-from-perfect machine translation, often with awkward results. It is awaiting the attention of an experienced M3P editor, which could be you. It may be slightly out of date, or may need other elements taken care of appropriately, including proofreading or copy-editing for grammar and style.

Kevin Gatt

Kevin Gatt born on 2 October 1984 and comes from Msida. He is an Musician.

It was in the year 2000. When a group of friends used to meet, talk and play the guitar for fun. Some friends talking, others eating, others playing the guitar whilst singing.

The trend was punk rock music like the type of Offspring and Blink 182. It was then that Kevin picked his father’s classical guitar to try to imitate popular riffs from such bands. Kevin got hold of some basic chords and started playing in the famous concert Strummin’ Home together with other guitarists.

About a year later, Kevin decided to take the guitar more seriously and took some guitar classes with Mark Galea, a well known and talented local guitarist.

It was at this point that Kevin, through guitar lessons and practice, managed to grasp some basic understanding of the fretboard. Ever since, Kevin continued running on the frets to discover more stuff.

In the meantime, Kevin joined his friends in a band that played soft rock music. With the band, he played in some different venues and occasions, gaining experience in the public sphere. At the same time, Kevin also joined another band, this time with a religious theme. Together with his band, he started competing in the national World Youth Day song competition.

Throughout the years, the bands in which Kevin played, changed and dissolved for various reasons. Kevin continued home practicing the guitar until he met a new band from Mellieħa in 2015, the JAMM Band.
