Kenneth Calleja was born on 22 November, 1977 from San Ġwann. He is a Maltese artist, lead singer, composer and founder of one of Malta’s popular rock groups Fire, which has contributed to set the style and sound of local rock music for more than a decade.

Kenneth’s love for music started developing at the early age of ten when the aspiring singer and musician learnt to play the bagpipes and drums with a Pipes and Drums band with his local Scouts Group. His dream of becoming a rock singer came true with his earliest efforts and sincere devotion towards his first band Explicit in the early 90s.Years later he co-founded the band Fire with the aim of focusing on creating classic hard rock original music and the band kicked off their large-scale audience performances as supporting band of Status Quo. In 2004, Fire launched their first two singles Manhunter and Make Believe as a run up to the launch of their first album Ignite and was invited to be the supporting band for various tribute acts including Boot Led Zeppelin. In 2006, Fire won Malta’s Battle of the Bands, and for two consecutive years they were invited to be the supporting band for Krokus, the international band fronted by legendary Maltese singer Mark Storace in concerts in Malta and Gozo. In 2007 Fire secured their spot in a UK tour covering both Manchester and London and confirmed themselves as one of the first small scale local bands to debut their music internationally.
