Keith Dance Studio is led by one of Malta’s leading dancers, Keith Grima, who is also a graduate in B.Com (Hons.) Management. It was about ten years ago when he started his own dancing team, which nowadays is highly established in the dancing arena and who bring audiences of all kinds a variety of dancing ranging from cabaret and musical extracts to ballroom and Latin American, from modern to even pleasing the country lovers. The ongoing success and opportunities of the team is mainly due to Keith’s capability and experience in the dancing era.

Twenty two years ago Keith started to take professional coaching in ballroom, Latin American and modern dancing. He has been coached by both local and foreign coaches, including Mark Lunn, David Douglas and lately Susan Walker. In fact, Keith is still following dance courses as the art of dancing is on-going learning process. He has, successfully, sat for international dancing exams in ballroom, latin American and modern, under both the N.A.T.D. and B.A.T.D., always getting the Highly Commended result in all dancing levels, i.e. bronze, silver, gold, gold cross, blue riband, first award, second award and third award.

This success was also repeated in dancing competitions. Besides being a regular finalist in all local major competitions, Keith has been declared seven times Maltese champion, both in ballroom and Latin American competitions as well as the overall 10-dance championships. He has also competed a number of times abroad and made an appearance on one of Italy’s popular afternoon programme La Vita In Diretta.

His students have also managed to accomplish various titles in dancing competitions. Just to mention a few, participating twice in the Malta Amateur Competitions, one of his couples became the Juveniles Latin American Champions whilst another couple won the Junior Latin American Championship. Participation in other local competitions promoting talent has led to achieve titles even here such as Malta Talent Awards, Best Promising Dancers and Best Choreography amongst others.

Technique, confidence, colourful and elegant costumes as well as the careful choice of music, style of dances and choreography, are what make the dancers from Keith Dance Studio unique. Appearing on local TV is perceived fundamental by Keith and through this, he managed to gain experience in the production assistance and presentation of such television programmes. This, following his role as presenter and assistant producer in the television programme ‘Ta’ Lynn’. Keith has also been responsible for various choreographies and designing costumes for models, singers and dancers. Lately he was given the responsibility to make the choreography for the opening sequence of the popular tv series KC. Previously, he has also done the opening choreography for the One tv sunday afternoon programme X’Ħadd Magħna.

Together with his team, Keith has performed in various localities, TV programmes, hotels and various other activities. These include prominent festivals like the Malta Song for Europe, L-Għanja Tal-Poplu and Junior Eurosong, as well as in EU Celebrations, Notte Biance, Independence day festivities, musicals, pantomimes, marathons and carnival activities. He had the opportunity to work with various artists such as Fabrizio Faniello, Ira Losco, Natasha Grima and Charlene Grima, Ludwig Galea, Debbie Scerri, Raquela, Nadine Axisa and Pamela Bezzina, amongst others. He has also performed various times with local bands. Together with his team, Keith has been involved in various television productions as resident dancers, including D-Best, Ta’ Lynn, BBQ, Happy Days, Kollox Sibt, Il-Weekend Jibda Hawn and Issa ċ-Ċans.

Apart from these, Keith has performed also various times in other television productions as guest dancer, including X’Ħadd Magħna, Kalamita, Monalisa and Għall-Frisk, amongst others. For the third consecutive year, together with his dancers, Keith Dance Studio will be the resident dancers on the television programme Sas-Sitta, aired on Net TV, every Saturday afternoon. They are also the resident dancers on the Sunday afternoon One TV programme X’Ħadd Magħna.

Following his footsteps are his highly dedicated students who eagerly look forward for their sessions and rehearsals. These are all yearly rewarded with internal graded certificates for each and every student, i.e. from the 4 year olds up to the oldest one. Besides this, students attending at Keith Dance Studio have also the advantage to have their dancing course fully recognised by the Ministry Of Education, where students are graded and have this listed on their school leaving certificate. This is due to the fact that Keith Dance Studio is an organisation fully registered with the Malta Qualifications Council.

Opportunities at Keith Dance Studio are open to each and every student, and together, we all aim to achieve even more successful results in the coming years.
