Kayley Cuschieri

Kayley Cuschieri was born on the 24th of February, 2003 and lives in Ħal-Safi. She is a singer and a pianist and also is passionate about acting and dancing.

Since she was young, music has always been a huge part in her life. Instead of playing with dolls like others usually do, she used to go around the house singing and dancing, pretending she has an audience in front of her. Even at the beach! She used to grab a hair brush, get on a rock and give entertainment to the people who were trying to relax for some time. Her parents noticed her interest and her passion for music and so they started to take her for dancing lessons at the age of 3. On 2008 Kayley told her mum that she also wanted to start singing, and from that day, she never looked back. She started taking part in many local festivals and always managed to obtain good placing. She won many Grand Prixs and also in November 2010 she won the Best Singer of The Year in the Ilħna t'Għada Singers Festival.

Apart from taking part in local festivals, she also took part in many International festivals; in Malta and even abroad. In 2012, Kayley took part in her first singing competition abroad in Bulgaria where she managed to place 4th. In 2013, she went to Istanbul, Turkey, for the Shining Star Festival and placed 2nd. The next year, she also went to Sicily for Voci Del Sud and managed to pass for the Semifinals. In 2015, she placed 1st place in Volare Festival in Romania. Also in Romania, she won the Overall in Section in the Music for Kids Festival, the following year. In the same year, she also placed 1st in Singer Stage International Festival in Malta. In 2017, she came 2nd in Angel Voices festival in Serbia and also won a Golden Award with her original song, Colourful.
