Kaya Marie Theuma

Kaya Marie Theuma, was born on the 27 November, 2001. and comes from Ħamrun but after spent some years living at Ħal-Qormi at 2016 moved to Iż-Żurrieq.

She is currently studying at Gian Franġisk Abela Junior College. She has always loved school and takes it very seriously.

Kaya Marie is a person that would do anything to see others happy even if she is not. She loves to help those in need and believes in being true to yourself. She loves dancing and singing. She had been dancing from a very young age for a very long time and at the age of 10 she started singing as well.

She noticed that they both require a lot of time and attention and therefore decided to specify on one. Thus, she chose singing. She use to desrcibe singing as a hobby however as time passes, she started taking it very seriously and it became an important part of her life.

Music helps her relax and makes her feel happy. She has never exposed her talent in media because she was always afraid that she was never good enough. However, with the encouragement of her friends, family and vocal coach, she is now confident and is willing to give her all and never give up in what she loves doing, that is singing. She has taken part in various local festivals and has been lately chosen to represent Malta in a festival in Poland. Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2018 (Talent Ġdid) (New Talent) is her first opportunity to expose her talent through in the festival local scene with the song Kollu Ta’ Xejn written by Ivan Debattista and composed by Gillian Attard and Dario Mifsud Bonnici.
