KKI – Junior 2014

Media.Link Communications, part of the private chain that also includes NET Television, have just published the rules and regulations for KKI - Junior -2014. This comes to fruition following the dismay put forward by songwriters, vocal coaches and performers who did not have enough avenues to showcase their abilities. The rules are relatively simple with artists having to confirm to the age range, that being between 8 to 15 years.

The original entries have to be written by local songwriters and are to be submit to Media.Link Communications on the 17 and 18 July 2014. The submissions are against a non-refundable €50 fee.

Submitions

There was about 40 songs submit, the results of the first phase are expected on the 26 July with the final phase results set to be released on the 2nd August, 2014. After held an audtions between 09.00am and 12.00pm.

The result of the Second phase have published by the Media.Link Communications on Saturday 2 August, 2014 at 2.00pm.

The Jury

A panel of professional judges comprising of Vinny Vella Jr., Bryan Manning, Miriam Christine, Felix Busuttil and Charles Stroud selected the 20 finalist entries, with one artist, Kylie Grixti having qualified with two entries, and thus having the opportunity to drop her second song, or else support the songwriters in finding an alternative artist.

The KKI- Junior 2014 will be staged during the week in which the actual Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza 2014 will be taking place, noting that it has become another additional event to the week-long list of activities which take place on The Granaries in Floriana.
